Art Nouveau Books

So, I'm a huge fan of Art Nouveau. A lot of my artwork is based on it's principles and I really admire many of the artists. To that end, a large portion of my artbooks center around Art Nouveau.

Art Nouveau: From Mackintosh to Liberty, The Birth of a Style by Victor Arwas. This is a really handy book, full of architecture, jewelry design, furniture, vases, clocks, prints, photos, pretty much anything you can imagine. One of my favorite references.

Art Nouveau by Klaus-Jurgen Sembach. This book focuses more on architecture, it's really full of stunning full bleed photos.

Gustav Klimt by Alessandra Comini. Awesome book, it details Klimt's life and has a bunch of really beautiful plates and smaller reference photos.

Treasury of Art Nouveau Design & Ornament: A Pictorial Archive of 577 Illustrations selected by Carol Belanger Grafton. Full of really awesome little design assets, I've used this on dozens of paintings and drawings already. One of my go-to books, definitely.

Art Nouveau Cut & Use Stencils by JoAnne C. Day. This was actually just an awesome find at a second hand shop. Lots of simplified designs, published in 1977 and none of them were used?! Awesome! They're actually in pretty mint condition, I'm almost afraid to use them, haha.

Drawings of Mucha by Dover. A lot of beautiful loose sketches by Mucha and some full color plates.

The Art Nouveau Style Book of Alphonse Mucha by Dover. Some very technical drawings of utensils and brooches, patterns and some of his more famous paintings. A very well put together book.

300 Art Nouveau Designs and Motifs in Full Color edited by Carol Belanger Grafton. This book is just okay. The colors are kind of tacky. It was very cheap, and some of the designs are pretty nice, but overall, the other books are better.
